babies- lake trips- birthdays - sports

I have yet to make a post from our Europe trip but I plan to do so this weekend. We have been so busy recently with sporting activities, friends, family, birthdays, showers and more. It has been a wonderful start to the summer.

Nick wrapped up his most recent club basketball league taking 3rd place with his team. They did a great job taking on another team with NO SUBS for the entire hour that they played. Even with two subs on the other team, they still couldn’t beat our team. Great Victory guys!!!

We are blessed to have two friends that both have boats so we went out to Lake Pleasant and Bartlett two weekends in a row with Jackie and Patrick one weekend, and our small group the next. Fun in the sun is always a good time and when you add in wake surfing and cruising on a beautiful lake, it is that much better. The Rockies came into town so of course Nick wanted to go to EVERY game that they played the AZ D-Backs. I went to the Friday night game then he took a friend and his brother Jeremy the next two games. We got to see some fireworks at the Friday night game and it was a beautiful night. Thank you to Melissa for the tickets!
It seems to be baby season. I have had 6 friends/family members that have either just had, or are getting ready to have babies (so far 5 are girls, and one is unknown- we can’t wait to find out!!!). I went to a baby shower for my neighbor Jen at the English Rose Tea Room in Carefree and it was so much fun. It was a perfect place to have a baby shower if you ask me. We all had to put on these silly hats but it was a part of the fun. They served warm scones, a tea of your choice, tiny finger sandwiches and a variety of beautiful desserts. Jen looked amazing and got some super cute gifts for their baby girl. I was also privileged to take some maternity photos of my sister-in-law and family. It was the hottest day of the year so far so we did the shoot as quickly as possible to avoid heat stroke. The twins were total troopers! I will not post many of those pictures because I am sure that Shannon will put them on her Blog. Love you guys.

Lastly, we had a fun night out at Trader Vic’s for my friend Alyson’s birthday. I picked up Adrianne and met a bunch of friends out. Great night out and good to see that group -as always.

Stay tuned for the post for our Europe trip. We had an amazing time and can’t wait to share the experience with you!

time for an update

I figured this would happen... sign up for a blog and then never post. I thought I would put up some pictures for some of you to see what we have been up to. Spending time with family and friends... and of course the puppies are keeping us busy. Lots of friends getting married and others getting ready for baby time. (Congrats to Shannon, Kerri, Jen, Melissa and others). There are also a ton of family birthdays this month so happy birthday to Brandon, Ben, April and AJ. We love you all.
Nick and I are enjoying the Spring in Arizona (with the exception of our darn allergies) and getting excited about our first trip to Europe in May. We are going to Prague and Venice for 10 nights. Please pray for a safe trip and many fun memories.

I am enjoying working for Sogeti and am getting to work on some neat IT projects. Nick is in process of starting a new pool cleaning company and is also working at a golf club in beautiful Paradise Valley. We feel so blessed.

Giving it a try

So I’ve been inspired by Adrianne’s blog to start one of my own for our family. What better way for your friends and loved ones to keep tabs on you (especially for those that don’t live in town). Nick and I are doing great! We still love being in our first home together in North Phoenix and are blessed to spend the amount of time together that we do. We get to volunteer together at church on Wednesday nights and also are in a small bible study with two other married couples. We have a new addition to our family in the form of a puppy- Mazie Luv- and she and Riley get along great so far. They are both super cute and bring us so much joy! We have also been blessed to spend a good deal of time with both sides of the family recently with a trip to Colorado for Ben’s return from Iraq, and dinner time with my parents, once again sending my dad off to Albania. (Stay safe Dad!) I don’t want to make this first post too long so I will cut it off here but if there is something that you would like to hear about specifically, please let me know and I will be sure to share. Thanks for taking the time to check out our blog site and we hope that you all have a blessed week!

Meet Riley May- if you have not already. Riley just turned two yesterday and was treated to some yummy puppy ice-cream. She is a great dog.

This is Mazie Luv our new pup. She came to us on 3/11 weighing 1.7lbs. Thank you to the Durkin's for giving us such a gift.
